Les Furber is a name more associated with golf course design in western Canada. One of his forays in the east is the beautiful Glasgow Hills. The course is built atop a stark landscape featuring unexpected elevation changes. Many of the holes provide stunning views of the Gulf of St. Lawrence and River Clyde. The routing uses the dramatic elevations to provide a variety of holes that are as much about club selection as execution. Superbly conditioned, this layout offers generous fairways, well protected green sites and a terrific variety of holes. Water holes, hidden or plateaued green sites, and even an island green will make your visit to Glasgow Hills a memorable one.

Feature Holes Descriptions:

On a course with many memorable holes our shot makers will highlight the heroic holes of Glasgow Hills. Number 7 is a lengthy par 3 featuring a three leaf clover green. Each tier is a different level, so make sure your long iron finds the right level. Hole 13 feels like you’re hitting off the side a mountain. The huge drop in elevation combined with a creek and deep bunkers, make hitting the putting surface a special accomplishment. The uphill par 4, 16th is guarded by water and thick forest down the left side and the heavily bunkered green will require two mighty wallops to get home. Don't even flirt with a back left pin. Hole 17 is a bombers delight. Your tee shot is hit out of a chute of trees and dramatically climbs all the way to the high perched plateau green that seems a million miles away.
